Heat Pumps or also named Air to Air systems
eliminate the need for a fossil fuel heating system and are highly efficient.
With 1 K-Watts of electricity consumption
generating up to 5 K-Watts of renewable heat
throughout the year.
The main advantage of a heat pump is that
heat energy is extracted from the outside air
(even down to -20°C) and brought inside to
provide low cost heat. The Air to Air system
is a machine or device that moves heat
from one location “atmosphere air”
to another location “your home”.
Most heat pump technology moves heat
from a low temperature heat source to a
higher temperature heat sink.
Common examples are food refrigerators, freezers,
air conditioners, and Air to Air pumps
for providing thermal comfort.

How do Air to Air Heat Pumps works ?

One common type of heat pump works by compressing fluid known as a refrigerant. The working fluid, in its gaseous state, is pressurised and circulated through the system by a compressor. On the side of the compressor, the now hot and highly pressurised gas is cooled in a exchanger , until it condenses into a high pressure, moderate temperature liquid. The condensed refrigerant then passes through a pressure-lowering device like an expansion valve.. This device then passes the low pressure, (almost) liquid refrigerant to another heat exchanger, the evaporator  where the refrigerant evaporates into a gas via heat absorption. The refrigerant then returns to the compressor and the cycle is repeated.
